Faith & Culture adult class

SUNDAYS, 8:50-9:50 AM

IN PERSON IN THE RRPC FELLOWSHIP HALL OR OVER ZOOM

We focus on how Scripture speaks to society’s challenges; this class explores what God’s love and Jesus’ teachings look like in today’s world.  Respect for all of perspectives and opinions around the table make for a lively and hopefully thought-provoking discussion.

We will begin a new study on January 14th.

All are welcome to join in!

Please contact Jan Airhart with any questions or to receive Zoom links.

HOLY ENVY

Finding God in the faith of others

by Barbara Brown Taylor

The book is based on observations from a class Brown Taylor—an Episcopal priest—taught on world religions. Her class included field trips to monasteries, temples, synagogues, and mosques. Beyond the classroom, she and her students found that being present to witness the practices of worshipping communities can deepen faith in other human beings and in God.

Participants should purchase a copy of the book and plan to read chapters in advance of each class. You can purchase from amazon here.
